Ignore The HP 148A Chip
Currently, the HP 148A and HP 148A chip is expensive and will make the refill price astronomical. We leave the OEM chip on the cartridge. Our clients configure the printer to continue printing. This way you actually use all the toner we load into the cartridge and print more pages for less.
Follow these instructions to ignore the chip:
1 – After installing the HP 148A or X toner the printer will read “Used or Counterfeit Cartridges Installed Press OK to continue”, so press [OK]
2 – Press OK again to get access the printer’s “Main Menu”
3 – Scroll to “Setup” and press [OK]
4 – Scroll to “Supply Settings” and press [OK]
5 – “Black Cartridge” should display, press [OK]
6 – Scroll to “Very Low Settings” and press [OK].
7 - The options are “Stop and Continue”. Scroll to “Continue” and press [OK]
8 – Press the back arrow button several times to return to “Ready”Your printer will now ignore the chip and print until the quality is very light.
